The goal of our research is to study the peculiarities of inner conflicts in adolescence and to ground conditions that could be efficient for their overcoming at this particular age. The research is carried out in the framework of cultural-historical tradition and relies on its fundamental propositions. The methodological basis of the research is presented by the ideas of L. S. Vygotsky, theoretical propositions revealing the significance of age crises in human development (L.S. Vygotsky, A.N. Leont’ev, K.N. Polivanova), propositions dealing with the peculiarities of development in adolescence (L.I. Bojovich, T.V. Dragunova, D. I. Feldshtein) and fundamental ideas of the activity approach (A.N. Leont’ev, S.L. Rubinshtein).
Therefore the Summer University 2011 is of great interest to us. We hope that the SU will give its participants the opportunity of exchanging ideas and experience in research in the framework of this scientific school as well as a chance to demonstrate the rich potential of cultural-historical theory in solving problems of development and education of children in modern society.
We are particularly interested in the section dedicated to the cultural-historical psychology in education since the aim of our research is connected not only with the study of inner conflicts of adolescents but also with elaboration of organization forms that could be used as an efficient technology of overcoming inner conflicts at this age and become a perspective learning technology based on the psychological characteristics of this age. This area of research becomes especially actual in the context of education reforms which makes the problem interdisciplinary.
