Describe your experience in acquaintance with cultural-historical psychology…
I’m a newcomer to this theoretical field. I’m starting to understand human behaviour through historical-cultural psychology’s framework. At the first two years of my doctoral studies I had been moving from different cultural theoretical frameworks, from community of practices to cultural psychology, until I met activity systems model by Yrjö Engeström. Through Engeström I have introduce myself to Leont’ev works through a Spanish version of Activity, Consciousness, and Personality. This journey has been a little hard, because despite there are many Mexicans scholars which work on Vygotsky’s ideas, concepts, there are no, or at least I haven´t found, one who works on theory de developed by Leont’ev.

Your interest and expectations with regard to participating…
To get well-grounded conceptualization of cultural-historical psychological, so I can orient may own development as future scholar. I would like to get more knowledge about historical development of the human mind and more understanding in how the tools made by transforms the human experience in a dialectical way.
Also I want to learn methodological-theoretical concepts about historical-cultural inquiry, mainly how to approach to natural settings. Also I would expect to get introduction on Bakhtin’s contribution to the study of the language.

Your desire to take part in the work of ISCAR SU 2011…

As a newcomer, I would like to start with solid stepping in the historical-cultural understanding, and to know the actual pathways and issues in-developing. Also I expect to meet actual scholars who are working in developing forward the classic concepts of cultural-historical psychology, and is there a specific research area on addiction or alcoholism issues. Also I want to insert on in the community of cultural-historical psychologists so I can maintain new knowledge and comprehension.
